Story of Mario's

Opened at the present location in 1976 serving the surrounding area and the Glenview Navy Air Station the finest pizza and Italian Beef sandwiches. After 3 different owners over 45 years, Ted Przybylo and Family purchased Mario's in June 2020. Throughout the pandemic, Mario's has continued to expand the menu with Stellas Broasted Chicken, signature sandwiches and salads while keeping a keen eye on the quality and freshness of all the ingredients. The Przybylo Family is proud to continue the Mario's tradition and legacy.

Story of Ted M. Przybylo

Growing up in the banquet business at White Eagle Banquets in Niles, hospitality meant serving good food, providing good service in a family atmosphere. After graduation from The Culinary School at Kendall College(Evanston), Ted was the Executive Chef at White Eagle, overseeing 3 kitchens, 30+ staff and 1000’s of diners. As a resident of Glenview, he is excited and humbled to continue serving our community.

Story of Stella's Chicken

While at University of Denver, decades ago, majoring in Hospitality Management, Ted and his roommate visited the roommates home in Galveston Texas. His mother greeted them with an unforgettable fried chicken dinner. Up to that time, Ted knew of KFC and Browns. Her chicken was different. He asked and received the recipe but needed to adapt to todays healthier lifestyle. Without sacrificing flavor the lard was replaced and a pressure cooker was purchased. Todays Stella's Broasted Chicken is the best around!
